A trip to the Landtong, Rozenburg ZH.
It’s been a long time since my last visit. First I went to the Caland Canal to see the Aegir up close. Then I went to the reservation where the Highland Cattle is. 3 of them were in the meadow besides the motorway. I didn’t see them in the reservation, except for 1 in the distance half behind the trees. So I took pictures of the scenery and the gooses that were around. It was a good hike, about 3,5 hours with good weather, a bit hazy when I left, but during the hike the sky cleared.

Herons at Park Esdoornlaan, 2018 April 3 and 7
When I went for a hike this afternoon I saw a heron at the small ditch in the park. Looking for food. After a while he flew away, fortunately I could capture him during his flight.
When I moved on I saw another heron at the toad pool. Finally he got something, a toad or a frog, I can’t tell the difference.
When I tried to get closer he moved a couple of meters so I stopped closing in on him. On the pictures you can see the legs of the toad outside his beak.

Lifeliner 2 at Park Esdoornlaan
Today there was a lifeliner (medical air assistance) in the park.
The pilot was so kind to open the doors so we could take pictures inside.
And taking off, returning to base
